SUPPORT THE COMMUNITY

Billions of pounds are given to charities every year but most of this money finds its way to the high profile names which leaves smaller organisations without the power of well-known brands struggling to survive.

How to help

Please help us make a difference in the community. This does not necessarily have to be in monetary form. You can vote or nominate New Hope, Birmingam as your favourite charity for grants allocated to projects supporting disadvantaged ethnic minorities.

You can also help us spread the word of our community activities on social media so people are more aware of the services we provide. Recommend us to any struggling individual or families you may know of who needs help. There is always the option of supporting our cause directly by making a one off donation or monthly direct debit.

What we have done so far

We have helped nearly 200 people in our community since we started and more projects are being implemented. Currently, our focus is on providing vocational training, career advice, and community cohesion activities to address more pressing issues in today's society.

Success of New Hope for 2017

The New Hope is proud to announce that the Chairman Mr Mohammed Foiz Uddin MBE received an exclusive invitation by Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II to attend a Reception Ceremony for the Commonwealth Diaspora at the Buckingham Palace on 14th of February 2018. The Queen invited them to show her appreciation for their contribution to the British Civic Society. In addition, Mr Uddin had been privileged to get the opportunity to discuss various community issues with the Prime Minister Rt. Hon Theresa May MP and her husband Mr Philip May, including Foreign Secretary Rt. Hon Boris Johnson MP and the High Commissioners of the Commonwealth Countries. The Queen, Prince Charles, Camilla Parker, Duchess of Cornwall and Birgitte, Duchess of Gloucester wanted to know about his community activities and his Community Cohesion work in West Midlands. It has been the most memorable day for New Hope forever. Report- Maruf Ahmed, PhD, Project Coordinator

Latest project

New Hope has been supported by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. Thanks to National Lottery players, we have been able to explore the history of Bangladeshi cooking heritage through informative workshops, cooking demonstrations and storytelling in the diverse community of Birmingham.
