Chai, Chat and Wellbeing - "Promoting mental well-being, awareness of health, empowering women and reducing social isolation”

The aims of the Chai, Chat and Wellbeing group is to:

  • Promote Mental Well-being – by creating a safe, supportive space where participants can relax and engage in activities that nurture emotional and mental health.
  • Encourage Social Connection & Interaction– alleviate isolation & loneliness and make friendships and a sense of community through regular meet ups and talk to one another and develop English language and confidence
  • Support Mindfulness and Self-care - mindfulness techniques and wellbeing practices to reduce stress and improve daily life.
  • Health and Wellbeing promotion – a platform to raise awareness of a range of health and wellbeing issues that impact community e.g. diabetes, women’s health
  • Community Empowerment through sharing knowledge and access to useful information
  • Warm Hub Space Celebrate Culture and Shared Experience - Embrace the power of shared traditions, enjoy foods, celebrate and share cultures, enjoy a range of teas and coffees, light refreshments, activities such as embroidery, sewing, drawing, art, painting, poetry, yoga. 
  • Provide a Non-judgmental Listening Space – most importantly a space for all cultures to come together and offer a welcoming environment where everyone feels heard, respected, valued, safe, supported, enabled to overcome barriers and fears.  As well as empowering to become independent.
