Saima Gulzar
Project Coordinator
Saima Gulzar joined the New Hope team in July 2025 as our Project Coordinator - to lead on Training, Employment and Skills Development as well as Project Coordinator/Advisor for Energy Advice Project. In this multifaceted role, she leads initiatives aimed at empowering individuals through access to education, training, skills development, and energy-related support services, helping to address both immediate and long-term needs within the community.
Before stepping into her current position, Saima worked as a Language Tutor (ESOL) with the Working Education Association for over 12+ years. During that time, she played an instrumental role in supporting adult learners in improving their English language skills, Functional skills, Employability skills, building confidence, and gaining greater independence in their daily lives.
Saima holds a BA (Hons) in Media Communications and English, a foundation that not only reflects her strong communication abilities but also her understanding of diverse cultural narratives and media landscapes. Professionally, she brings over a decade of experience teaching English, along with a solid background in management, which equips her with the skills to lead projects, guide learners, and coordinate services efficiently.
Her communication and people skills are among her greatest strengths, enabling her to motivate, engage, and connect with individuals from all walks of life. Whether she's delivering a workshop, advising a service user, or collaborating with external partners, she approaches every task with warmth, creativity, and professionalism.
Saima is equally comfortable working independently or as part of a dynamic team. Her deep-rooted understanding of the challenges and aspirations of local communities stems from years of grassroots involvement. We are proud to have her on board as part of our leadership and frontline support.
