CREATIVE ESOL

We’re so excited to announce the launch of our new Creative ESOL programme in partnership with Saathi House!
This initiative is designed to support people in our community who are new to the area and unable to learn English through traditional routes due to eligibility criteria. The course aims to encourage women to learning everyday English in an informal & relaxed setting, while gaining confidence, integration and connection. Creative ESOL will use art, storytelling, and creative activities to make learning fun, engaging, and empowering.
Creates opportunities for the beneficiaries and enable them to meet new people and share experiences.
LANGUAGE SKILLS COURSE (ESOL)

We are running ESOL (English as a second language) course for both men and women living in Birmingham.
It is a FREE course for anyone on benefits and it is open for those from ethnic minority, migrant and newly arrived communities living in Birmingham. The course is delivered in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, it allows you to meet and get to know other people in the community and make friends. Tea & Coffee provided.
The course aims, through increasing its participants' English language skills, to reduce social isolation in local communities in Birmingham. It is well known that lack of English language skills is a big barrier to community cohesion and leads to individuals becoming socially isolated and are missed by the mainstream service providers. This project will provide English speaking skills and confidence, enable individuals to gain recognised qualifications, signpost to other training courses such as digital skills, functional skills Maths, English and increasing employment opportunities.
The lessons are delivered in partnership with local training providers, taught by qualified and experienced tutors and supported by our experienced volunteers, who are English native speakers and have experience in teaching to adults.
